Lifting the Mexico Travel Ban

The latest news for Mexico travelers: The CDC has removed its recommendation that U.S. travelers avoid travel to Mexico.

This also reminds me of ALL the media hoopla around the flu in Mexico. Did anyone ever connect the dots that airlines and cruise lines stopped or delayed many of their flights/calls to Mexico, as did countries around the world, completely disrupting the Mexican Tourism Industry those really "exist" on the tourism dollar, however..did anyone notice that the "gates" to Mexico..the drive through borders of Tijuana/Chula Vista/San Diego and El Paso/Juarez..were not shut down? Hourly, there are literally thousands of people going back and forth...would not have closing them made a difference as well? Just an interesting thought.
