Experience Astonishing South Africa
What does the "Big 5" mean to you? It should connotate ANIMALS, big and small ones, some endangered but all beautiful to behold. And.....most of all, YOU can do it.
MALAMALA - an unforgettable experience, an unforgettable guide and lions up close and personal (we're talking 10 yards). This is the way to be surrounded...by animals...lions, Cape buffalo, elephants, all at once. And...leaving quite quickly as because with elephants....one doesn't mess around. The guides know the area, they live there, they work there....most of their lives. Ecosystems are well preserved, even though you are driven through off-road habitats, the damage is minimized. These guys know how to do it. The animals are totally uninterested in cars (Land Rovers) and tend to ignore the fact that you are there. While in the resort, you must be accompanied at night by a guide when you are out and about, as the animals are often roaming the grounds at night. You can see an elephant outside a cabin or two rhinos facing off for a "fight" in front of another cabin on the lawn.
MalaMala is the largest tract of privately owned Big Five game land and has been there since 1927, sharing an unfenced border with Kruger National Park with approximately 8 miles of San River flowing through it....and guess who you can view?
There are 3 camps on the MalaMala tract, all are all inclusive, meals are communal, share a private landing strip. Kids are welcome with great kids programs catered to learning. Sable Camp has no kids allowed, great for small party groups and is often booked by a single party. Rattray's children policy is no one under 16 so it's more or less "adult" in atmosphere. Very upscale with private plunge pools, outdoor showers, internet and satellite TV. The wildlife viewing is top notch at all three of the MALAMALA camps.
Your Guide, the same for your entire stay, is extremely knowledge, well armed, and you experience classic hospitality, a trademark.
For more information, contact us at destinations@vacationsandweddings.com or give us a "Jambo" call 888 421 0270.

Travel Sense
PLEASE remember to take your passport, check your tickets and call your
airlines AT LEAST 24 hours prior to flying anywhere - flight times do change
and you could be at the gate and the plane gone - this is part of your
responsibility as a traveler. Also check to make sure about Visas and/or vaccinations.
If you have a medical card that lists illnesses, be sure to take it along.
Also, because of so many medical miracles that have taken place over the years -- if you have had a hip, knee or other replacement -- tell the gate (TSA) people, it will make going through their portals easier...maybe not faster because you will set off everything and have to get "wane'd" and what fun that is.
Possibly if you have the "new card" to get through TSA etc lines faster, you may not have to do all that because whatever pins you have will be noted. (Not available however at all airports).
Travel Safe! Have fun.

What are Honeymoons?
Good question, with many answers. Exotic, private, secluded, warm, romantic, sunny – These are usually words used by people in context of a Honeymoon and Destinations people pick for their honeymoons.
A Honeymoon is typically a traditional getaway taken by newlyweds to celebrate their marriage in intimacy and seclusion.
A trip, known as the “Honeymoon”, in which the newly married couple usually takes off within 24-72 hours of their wedding for parts (usually) unknown to others, a secret known only to them and their trusted Travel Agent.
However, with the advent of Destination Weddings, Brides and Grooms often stay at the same place as their wedding after their guests have returned home – or to take off within a day or so to another island to be by themselves before going back home.
The Honeymoon idea goes back as far as the 1820’s in France, spreading to England and Italy. The notion took off and everyone began the practice of selecting privacy and seclusion for the Bride and Groom. This seclusion idea was enhanced greatly by romantics in love, and still is.
Exotic places such as Paris, the City of Light, Vienna, Rome, Florence, hills of Tuscany, the Greek Islands of Romance and More (Santorini and Mykonos) are places filled with history, unbeatable romance, seclusion and whatever you wish for your “own time away from it all”, places to make memories and fulfill dreams.
Come to Africa! Sleep under a million stars, see Magnificent Beasts, take your digital camera and remember those slot cards...you will need them.
A Perfect Honeymoon (in Mexico) and complimentary as well....Sparkling Wine (bottle), a romantic candlelight dinner for Two, 2 t-shirts and a fruit plate (plus a late checkout if available upon request)....and sometimes unlimited selected tours.
